Congrats to the Winners!

I am absolutely amazed at the beautiful stories people left about motherhood. As I read the stories, I was truly touched by the heart and honesty of each one.  Sometimes I was even moved to tears. But I should not have been surprised. The experience of being a mother or a daughter to a mother is deep for most people, whether it is strong or, in some cases, difficult.

Be sure to click into the Responses of the contest post and read all of the wonderful stories honoring mothers. And if you entered, thank you, thank you for doing so. I wanted to give every entrant a free copy of Ruby Among Us! Unfortunately, I don’t have that many copies I can give away, so I put all the names in our big popcorn bowl, shook them up, and had my husband very diplomatically draw two entries. The winners are:

(1) Sue and  (2) Julie Exstrom

I will contact them this morning and get their books sent out asap.

I hope people might still be inclined to continue leaving their stories on the original post and if you didn’t win, I hope you will still consider reading Ruby Among Us since it is also about mothers, daughters, and grandmothers. May this coming weekend be one of joy, reflection, and hope as you celebrate being a mom or honor your own mom, mother, or someone who has been like a mother to you.

Happy Mother’s Day to everyone.

Peace,

Tina
