First Spring Flower

“No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow.”  ~Proverb

It has been a long winter in our part of Wyoming. This Daffodil is the first flower of spring in our yard. If the Crocuses were blooming before, then they were buried by the snow and we didn’t get to see them. This beauty here looked ready to open just a few days ago, but then snow fell on the poor thing yesterday. Today it looks hopeful again, as are my hopes for a garden. As is always the case this time of year, I find myself wishing I had the gardening skills of some of my characters.

  1. Love the quilt header. Our Arkansas daffodils are gone. Red buds are blooming. Trees are budding and birds are nesting. Swiss chard is growing.
