Tina Ann Forkner is a former Elementary School Librarian and Substitute Teacher, Writing Instructor, and Author. Her novels include Waking Up Joy, which was a HOLT Medallion Award Finalist for Romantic Elements from Virginia Romance Writers, as well the novels The Real Thing, Nashville by Heart, Ruby Among Us, and Rose House.
More About Tina: Tina grew up in small-town Colcord, Oklahoma, moved for a time to England, and eventually to Sacramento where she graduated from California State University Sacramento and grew to love visiting the Sonoma Valley and the Sierra Nevadas. Eventually she made her way to Wyoming where she made her home for the next 25 years. She now lives in Las Vegas with her husband where she writes and teaches online full time.
Tina is an adjunct faculty member for the Low-Residency MFA Program at Drexel University and has taught online writing courses for Laramie County Community College’s Life Enrichment Program. She is a member of Women’s Fiction Writers Association, Cheyenne PEO Chapter AD, is the Past President of WyoPoets, and a Past President of the Laramie County Library Foundation Board of Directors.
Tina is also a freelance writer. Her articles and essays have appeared in various publications, including PopSugar, MTL, Wyoming Tribune-Eagle, and Southern Writers Magazine’s Suite Tea. She is a poet at heart, having had poems published in several literary journals including Sacramento Poetry Center’s journal, Poetry Now, under the pen name Tina Linde.
