Tina Ann Forkner is a School Librarian, Writing Instructor, and Author. Her novels include Waking Up Joy, which was a 2015 recipient of the HOLT Medallion Award of Merit for Romantic Elements from Virginia Romance Writers, as well the novels The Real Thing, Nashville by Heart, Ruby Among Us (Random House 2008), and Rose House (Random House 2009). She lives in Wyoming with her husband and has three adult children.
More About Tina: Before making her way to Wyoming, Tina grew up in small-town Colcord, Oklahoma, moved for a time to England, and eventually to Sacramento where she graduated with honors in English from California State University Sacramento. She now makes her home with her husband in Cheyenne, Wyoming where she has lived for more than two decades.
Tina is an adjunct faculty member for the Low-Residency MFA Program at Drexel University, teaches writing courses for Laramie County Community College’s Life Enrichment Program, and has conducted seminars for the community including the Laramie County Library. She is a member of Women’s Fiction Writers Association, Wyoming Writers, Inc., Cheyenne League of Women Voters, Cheyenne PEO Chapter AD, serves as the Vice President of WyoPoets, and is a Past President and current volunteer of the Laramie County Library Foundation Board of Directors.
Tina is also a freelance writer. Her articles and essays have appeared in various publications, including PopSugar, MTL, Wyoming Tribune-Eagle, and Southern Writers Magazine’s Suite Tea. She is a poet at heart, having had poems published in several literary journals including Sacramento Poetry Center’s journal, Poetry Now, under the pen name Tina Linde.
