Tina Ann Forkner is the author of Waking Up Joy, which was a 2015 recipient of the HOLT Medallion Award of Merit for Romantic Elements from Virginia Romance Writers, as well the novels The Real Thing, Nashville by Heart, Ruby Among Us (Random House 2008), and Rose House (Random House 2009). She lives in Wyoming with her husband and has three adult children. Tina is a proud member of Tall Poppy Writers and works as a freelance editor, writing instructor, and substitute teacher. She enjoys traveling, hiking, and fishing.
More About Tina: Before making her way to Wyoming, Tina grew up in small-town Colcord, Oklahoma, moved for a time to England, and eventually to Sacramento where she graduated with honors in English from Sacramento State. She now makes her home with her husband in Cheyenne, Wyoming where she has lived for two decades. Tina is a member of Tall Poppy Writers, Wyoming Writers, Inc., Cheyenne League of Women Voters, Cheyenne PEO Chapter AD, and is the Vice President of WyoPoets. She has a passion for libraries and previously served on the Laramie County Library Foundation Board of Directors in Wyoming holding various offices including Foundation President. She is still a foundation volunteer.
Tina is also a freelance writer. Her articles and essays have appeared in various publications, including PopSugar, MTL, and Southern Writers Magazine’s Suite Tea. She is also a poet at heart, having had poems published in small press literary journals, including the Sacramento Poetry Center’s journal, Poetry Now, under the pen name Tina Linde, and has had columns appear in the Wyoming Tribune-Eagle under the same pen name.
